Finance Sector

Introduction
You may be aware of Amsphere’s presence in the retail sector, but did you also know that we have the same experience in the financial sector? Our experience goes back a number of years and we have worked with a diverse number of institutions and have experience of the different API’s used by vendors.

Recent regulatory changes have increased the importance of having systems that work and deliver quality at all times. Examples of these are MiFID, SEPA and Basle II. These systems present both liquidity risks, operational risks and reputational risks.

  • MiFID

Ensuring that your system complies with MiFID and achieves the best execution expected by some 68% of customers requires an independent testing partner that can use their knowledge and methodologies to identify and mitigate risks involved in delivering these complex projects.

  • SEPA

The introduction of the Single European Payments Area (SEPA) will mean a complete redesign of Banks’ payment infrastructures requiring a major investment. The migration will force banks to have consolidated systems and rigorous testing in order to protect their reputation and avoid fines.

  • Basel II

Basel II does two things; aims to ensure that the amount of capital reserves a bank is required to put aside is proportional to the amount of risk they face and secondly, separates operational risk from credit risk. Software applications designed to cope with this new accord include capital calculation engines and automated reporting solutions – all of which are complex and in need of thorough testing.

In each of these scenarios, the financial institutions faced with these issues are hugely reliant on high quality, efficient systems. By engaging Amsphere from the beginning of the process, our unique KTM™ methodology can be used to quickly develop testing resources and reduce ramp-up times, while our CAAT™ testing methodology  allows best practice to be introduced to ensure efficient testing and ongoing quality improvements.

Amsphere can remove the worry of testing, whether it’s a front, middle or back office system, and is so confident in its people and toolsets that we will even compensate clients who experience any defects. Instead of waiting to be fined for non-compliance or losing money and clients due to poor systems, engage Amsphere as your independent testing partner.
