Key Responsibilities
The role will involve managing test environment managers and co-ordinating the platform environment needs and liaising with Business Users, Technical Support and Testers.
Implement a test environment strategy covering all areas including scheduling, Dependency Checks, Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis.
Reporting progress/status on a weekly basis to all stakeholders and Platform Test Manager and owning and organising meetings with all users.
Be aware of relevant technical bulletins, highlight and report any deficiencies, provide solutions to rectify any potential issues.
Work closely with relevant teams to ensure that the best solutions are deployed and liaise with the support team to resolve and report on issues.
Provide recommendations to ensure that the infrastructure is continually able to meet client, business and regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for issues regarding relevant infrastructure and installations. Ensure all issues are escalated in accordance with documented procedures and provide consultancy solutions.
Essential Skills and Experiences
Experience as a Test Environment Manager
Experience in managing large strategic projects and managing large teams of managers
Demonstrate experience in leading a large project team from conceptual phase through to steady phase
The ability to define environment strategy in a managed service environment
Experience of Banking platforms and testing methodologies
Demonstrable experience in transforming a large test environment involving various stakeholders.
Experience in all stages in the lifecycle of a test environment
Project Management experience
Essential to have excellent communication skills to provide high level management support to all stakeholders involved.
Able to liaise across all support areas in the organisation
Excellent interpersonal skills needed for interfacing with developers, systems administrators and management.
Good team player, providing excellent customer service, making good decisions, brining innovation to problem solving and mentoring other team members.
Would be nice to have ITIL experience and Prince 2
