Role Overview
The IT Knowledge Transition Manager will manage a variety of knowledge transition management projects for our clients in different industries. You will engage with the client to understand their requirements, scope and manage the project and implement strategies to extract and evaluate the information to achieve successful knowledge transition in line with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise, direct and monitor all assigned projects to meet client requirements, budgeted cost and agreed timescales within practical constraints
Understand, analyse, evaluate and organise information and own the delivery of knowledge transition activities
Ensure the creation, tracking and maintenance of project plans
Take responsibility for the sign off of all deliverables
Produce metrics and reports as required
Act as the point of escalation
Attend and represent Amsphere at relevant client meetings
Ideal Candidate
You must be a seasoned Manager from an IT background with experience of managing large development and / or IT support projects
You will have worked in a wide variety of business and technical environments and possess the gravitas required to deal with clients at a senior level
You will possess an understanding of a broad range of technology (i.e. IBM mainframe, AS40, VB, .net etc.)
Exposure to both infrastructure and applications would be advantageous
You will be politically and culturally aware and be sensitive to the impact of change on organisations and staff
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills together with your calming nature will enable you to influence and engage individuals to gain their cooperation and buy-in
You will have extensive experience of leading and managing a team
With an analytical mind, you will be able to extract, evaluate and organise information
Prior experience of knowledge management, strategy consultancy or IT due diligence and experience of working in the Finance / Banking and Insurance sectors would be an advantage
You must be willing to travel and be based at varying locations in the UK and internationally as required
