The Technical Writer will produce collated documentation based on technical knowledge provided as a result of interviews with knowledge owners. The documentation produced will be enhanced with diagrams, flow charts, screen shots and other media required to give a clear indication of the knowledge content.
The Technical Writer will be able to understand IT and Computing terminology and have a proven background in corporate technical writing.
Experience
You must have at least two years experience in producing technical and/or training documentation within the IT sector in at least one of the following areas:-
The Retail Sector.
The Finance Sector.
The Insurance Sector.
You will have a broad understanding of IT systems, infrastructure and technologies as well as exposure to large integrated applications.
You must be willing to travel and be based at varying locations in the UK and internationally as required.
Attributes for role
The ability to work under a minimum level of supervision and, at times, to tight timelines. The technical writer will be a good communicator and skilled at converting data from a variety of sources into practical documentation.
The ability to portray complex technical subjects in a succinct yet informative format.
