Jamaica Bound...

Amsphere is delighted to be supporting Neneto Davis, 21. Neneto was born in Jamaica. He started playing cricket seriously when he came to England at the age of 12. Neneto grew up and was schooled in Tottenham. He played his cricket at North London Cricket Club where he was encouraged to take up the game seriously by the late John Blount - who dedicated his life to developing young people in north London.

NenetoNeneto played age-group county cricket and was a member of the Middlesex Academy. He joined Hackney Community Cricket College in 2002, where he also studied for a BTEC National Diploma in Sport and went on, with support from John Barclay and his coach Mike Thompson, to play for The Duke of Norfolk's XI at Arundel and for Sussex second XI. Neneto bowls fast medium at around 87 miles per hour. He hopes to cross 90 miles very soon!

On completing his BTEC exams successfully he moved on to St. Mary's College, Twickenham where he has been studying for a BSc in Sport Science. Following successful trials in Jamaica over the autumn of 2005 Neneto has been invited back to play a domestic season and to join the Jamaica team for training and match preparation. Neneto enjoys dual nationality and if selected he would love to represent the West Indies in the World Cup squad for 2007.
