Sponsorships - Software Testing Award
The UK Award for Delivering High Quality Software Solutions

ICS2Amsphere once again took a leading role in the 7th annual Software & Systems Quality Conference (SSQC). This is the UK's leading conference devoted to Software Testing and Quality management and draws speakers, exhibitors and delegates from around the world.

John Krekis, Amsphere's Operations Director, presented the Tester of the Year Award to Danny Dore, Test Manager at Alliance Boots. The award gives recognition to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to systems and software quality within their organisation and is the only public recognition of the importance of testing in the UK.

ICS2In addition to successfully implementing Phase I of the Electronic Prescription Service for the NHS, Danny established Test Policies and Strategies (with vendor support), improved clarity on responsibility/accountability and created new reporting templates. Most importantly, however, Danny raised the profile of testing as a whole and its importance in every stage of a project – an achievement Amsphere strongly supports. John Krekis commented “Amsphere have been proud to sponsor this award since its inception and passionately support testing as a recognised discipline within the business world”. ICS2

The conference was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London in early October, and speakers presented a variety of topics including Risk-based testing, the importance of clear Requirements, and Outsourcing challenges. A number of workshops and seminars also took place throughout the two days, providing insight and advice on some of the IT issues facing business today.

Amsphere staff were on hand to meet delegates and discuss their quality and testing challenges, with particular interest coming from the retail and financial services sectors where we have extensive experience.
